Current events and projects
Sessions
Workshops venues include: libraries, primary and secondary schools; community centres and festivals. Within each workshop I try to ease away the - I can’t draw - mantra from children in the most fun way, so that they may flourish through expression and experimentation; fuelled by the magical power of their own imagination. I have also work with young people on various graphic novel projects.
Books
Along with friend and author Kirsty Johnson, Wee Stoorie Press was created, and was successful in gaining a Scots Language Publishing Grant from the Scottish Book Trust. This enabled the publication of four books in Scots language which follow the seasonal adventures of Phantom the ginger mog. We were recently commissioned by BBC Sounds, Scots Stories, and will have a new WSP picture book out Spring 2025.
My illustrations have also been published by Luath Press, Hodder, Lomond Publishing, National Trust for Scotland (children's Wee Guide series).
Mandy Sinclair work is original, expressive and captures the essence I needed for my new book. She went above and beyond to produce amazing cover and took what I had described and made it real. I personally would highly recommend.
